Welcome to Bobby Brown Racing
The objective of the web site is to promote Sports Car Road Racing and the people that contributed to the development of the sport. Primarily we will focus on the career of the independent driver Bobby Brown who began in the 1960s and continues to race today. Bobby started racing in the classic years of racing when there was factory involvement you could buy a car on Monday and take to the track on Friday. In those years you could be an independent driver in a professional series and run your race team out of your attached garage now you need a team of engineers and a full shop to be competitive.
We hope to develop a site that will benefit the experienced driver as well as beginner starting their race career. The site will be dynamic and interactive built on a database and driven by user input.
The first part of this quest is to search for old racing records and results from the early days of the 1960's if you have any sources or are willing to share information please check out this page for more details. We are also looking for Bobby Brown stories and pictures and any information on car history of raced cars.
In my years of racing with Bobby there was a tremendous amount of work followed by a good time and it all has been a learning experience. Several times I was told Bobby has forgotten more about racing than most people know, I do not think that is true. In the few weeks that we have started this project I have found questions that caused him to recall information he had not thought about in forty years. So I am convinced it is all there we just need help to get it all to the surface. So I want to encourage your participation in the development of the site.
